GNRS 2011 Day 3-Bombs!

Having spent my entire life in New England, I'd only seen "Bombs" in magazines or online. I've always admired them & the time & effort their owners put into them. Well, after seeing them in person, it has become a full-fledged love affair! These guys, in many cases, are taking "ugly duckling" '30's & 40's 4-Doors & turning them into amazingly beautiful, rolling works of art. I have developed a great admiration for these buuilders & their beautiful rides. I will definitely have them in mind as I put together my latest catalog.

Jimmie Vaughan bought one of my pin-up shift knobs!

Luke & I winding down on Sunday. What a fantastic show! I'll definitely be back.

GNRS 2011 Day 3-Wally Parks NHRS Museum

Sunday, January 30, 2011
When I arrived at the Fairplex on Sunday, I realized that this was the last day of the show & I hadn't been in the Wally Parks NHRA Museum, yet. I helped Luke get set up & then I high-tailed it over to the museum. Holy Crap! I'm glad I didn't miss this!

Another early rising, as we headed over to the Fairplex to beat the crowd. It was just another day in paradise for me. Here's photographic evidence of that:

Woke up fairly early, grabbed a quick breakfast & headed over to the Fairplex. The first picture, in this post, is my first taste of SoCal. When I arrived at the Fairplex, I was greeted by this amazing Kustom truck & the beautiful California sky. It's also the first pic I took with my new camera, that I learned to operate , sitting in the rental car in the parking lot! LOL Because Luke was a sponsor, I was able to get in before the general public & was one of about a dozen people in the Kustoms building for the first hour. I used that time wisely, taking many photos of the cars from many angles, without worrying about someone stepping in front of me.
