I never did report on the Wanda Jackson show I attended. She was an hour & a half late because of traffic between NYC & Boston, but nobody left, even though we were offered our money back. When she did arrive & took the stage, she immediately launched into Mean, Mean Man. WOW! I couldn't believe that voice was coming from a woman her age. She was amazing. After a few songs, she got a little raspy, but after her husband, Wendall brought her a glass of wine she was fine & played a full show. What a sweetheart this woman is! She sounded great & entertained the crowd with many anecdotes & stories from her long career. After the show, Wanda sat & signed autographs for over an hour. If you haven't seen her & you get the chance, you must! I'm so glad I skipped hockey that night & witnessed this legendary lady in person. I went home with a Wanda Jackson T-shirt & an autographed 8x10. Mark Gamsjager & The Lustre Kings opened the show & backed up Wanda flawlessly. I proudly hung Wanda's pic in The Galaxy Diner.
