Summer Brimfield Day 1

Wednesday, July 13:
Summer Brimfield is here! Headed out solo today. the weather was perfect & there was good stuff to be had. Here's what I scored:
2 Lava wahines, one HIP Original & one Coco Joe's: Asking $30 Paid $25
A nice Pearl Harbor hanky: $8
A Proctor-Silex Electric Juicer NIB: Asking $26 Paid $22
2 Page Mobilgas ad, featuring a Corsair taxiing in front of some palm tress, "Give 'er the Gun_and WHOOSH!" "that's FLYING HORSEPOWER": $5
Also had a great Pilgrim sandwich for lunch from one of the food vendors. I'll do that again!

Thrifting

Thursday, May 19.
I don't get to thrift as much as I would like to, because the nearest thrifts are 20-30 minutes away from me. When I do manage to get out, I always seem to get skunked. This day, miraculously., I managed to find 2 small items. A rocks glass from Huke Lau in Chicopee, Mass & a neat , open-top, glass block. I think they were worth the $2.68 I laid out for them & hopefully, will serve as encouragement the next time I go thrifting.

Rhode Island Antique Hunt

Sunday, April 17. Took off to Rhode Island on the hunt for Tiki stuff & anything else I couldn't live without. Drove from Chepachet to Greenville to Pawtucket. Scored a great Tepco Wahine mug, p. 90 of Tiki Quest & a killer set of bar tools by Kirk's of Sheffield England. Also saw some cool stuff I couldn't afford, as usual.
